"one moment in time continually evolving" is the essence of Iyan's practice as a renown massage therapist and yoga teacher.

Iyan has the wonderful ability to live and enjoy the present moment. The combination of his Asian heritage and his passion for yoga and meditation has helped him to reach a state of mind of serenity and peacefulness. Born in Java, Iyan has grown to be a lover of coaching and mentoring others; he majored in biology and became a teacher in Jakarta. In 1999, an opportunity to teach Indonesian language to business people living in Bali arose; For Iyan it was a fundamental, life changing opportunity.
While residing in Bali, Iyan discovered the depth and true merits of yoga, and in 2003 he achieved his designation as an "Ashtanga" yoga teacher with the renowned Australian 'Yoga Arts School' of Byron Bay. As a partner in PT. Zen Jiwa Raga, a Spa and Resort management company, Iyan and his associate developed the holistic "Escape the World" retreat, a six day journey of yoga, meditation, rituals and Spa treatments. The program has been running since early 2004 and has attracted people from all over the world. Iyan's method of teaching yoga reflects his view of life..one moment at a time continually evolving. Iyan has also extended his knowledge of massage with Ibu Ruli, a master of "Ayurvedic" Massage and a renowned Reiki practitioner in Indonesia. Over the years, Iyan has become well-known for his talents and is in great demand for his 2.5 hour Ayurvedic Massage - which is sought after for its re-balancing of the "chakra" system. Iyan enjoys playing tennis, singing, dancing, travelling and most of all sharing his knowledge and experiences with friends and acquaintances.
